Dancing across the island


Aficionados! We will be dancing across the island to highlight some of the dance schools and places where you can go shake a leg. Our first stop: Rey del Ritmo Dance School!



Rey Del Ritmo Dance School has been one of the most successful Dance Schools in Trinidad & Tobago for a number of years, led by Nari and Gina. 


Nari has practiced Latin dance for over the past 20 years, starting under Latin dance maestro, Walter Diaz. His experience has earned him several accolades as one of T&T'S leading instructors and practitioners of the art-form, sharing his passion with his students, every step of the way.

Gina, one of T&T's foremeost female Latin dance instructors and performers, also has over 20 years as both a classical and contemporary dancer, imparting a unique level of finesse and poise to her students.


Together, with a dedicated team of dancers, they teach a wide range of dances:



Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Cha cha cha, Rhumba, Swing, Jive, Samba, Lambada, Foxtrot, Waltz, Hustle, Argentine Tango, American Tango, Quickstep and much more!

Mon- American Style Ballroom/Smooth

Dances: (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango ect.)
Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Location: Studio 33 Long Circular Rd, St.James

Mon- Bachata & Club Style Salsa Latin-Mix
Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm (8 - 9 free practice session)
Location: Studio 33 Long Circular Rd, St.James

Wed- Latin-Mix 
Dances: (Salsa, Merengue, Cha cha cha & Rumba)
Time: 6:00-7:00pm (Beginners)
Location: Studio 33 Long Circular Rd, St.James

Wed- Argentine Tango
Time: 7:00 - 8:00pm (Beginners)
Location: Studio 33 Long Circular Rd, St.James

Fri- Latin-Mix
Dances: (Salsa, Merengue, Cha cha cha, Rumba, ect.)
Time: 6:00 - 7:00pm (Beginners)
Location: Gulf City Mall (fitness zone gym)

Sat- Latin Mix (Salsa,Merengue,Rumba,Cha Cha, ect.)
Time: 4:00 - 5:00pm (Beginners)
Location: Long Circular Mall (in the gym) 

Levels: (Beginners, Intermediate & Advance)!

    What are the features one should look for in a good pair of professional dancing shoes? Are there preferred brands?
